Feeling truly blessed as I turn 47 with so much to be thankful for: my kids & family ~ all happy and safe, getting married soon & continuing this journey with my best friend Roger, evolving and rediscovering so many beautiful things about the people who surround me ~ friends and artists who inspire and a community that cares despite all that goes on in the world. Flowers from two former students who looked back and remembered: One of the perks of being a teacher, aside from students' feedback that I touched their lives, is getting a surprise visit (while in my classroom) from students of ages ago just because they happened to be in town on a day they remembered as my birthday.
